What’s Happened So Far
A little too much.
Nothing too crazy this round for. I’m thinking about being low-key for a month or two just to sort a bit of things out. After PodcampTO this year, I felt as if I needed to re-evaluate myself to an extent. Passions, mostly. There was alot of energetic folks there along with the community. It was a great time to see the emmesive turn-out of the Toronto Social Media scene.
As this year was my first time going, PodcampTO felt more like a High School thing moretimes than a series of well-put presentations. Mind you, they were the latter, yet different. You were able to pick and choose presentations that you were interested in and went to them.
People could have still played at home with the livestream.
The hotness for me:
Definitely The Internet Is Not Made Of Hugs and the The Psychology of websites and Social Media campaigns turned my crank presentation-wise. As the summary suggests, the two of former pulled no punches and were blunt with their execution. Especially the points produced.
“Redefine the definitions of failure and success” on the internet. For many who take it seriously, the internet can be useful to that extent. The presentation articulates it better. The Psychology taught the old dog in me new tricks about placement and strategically placing things to sites a certain way to get a more dramatic impact.
Wished I also brought a camera for a better visual, but oh well.
I wouldn’t mind blogging about sometIf you’re seeing the tweets still going on: it’s just a feed reader from some of the blogs that I read. I did finally pick up Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together and started Red Dead Redemption. I’m not going to Glue any of this at all.
Oh… and the iPad 2 was released to the public as knowledge. For now….one can only think of what the company is going through right now. I’ll see when I hold one.
