Habits again? [ #postaday ]

Hey folks:

I wrote a bit of this on the train yesterday. Nothing really insane going on, guys and dolls. For instance, I’m behind some folks talking about web browsers. I would jump in, but my hindi is not even close to scratch to impose with proper lyrics and argument…yet. Moving on. Apparently, Casey and I have a surprise for you

…in the next few days.

… you’ll like it.

I heard a cricket chirp just now.

I’d ask as to how many people actually peep out the blog. Thanks to the call out, that I made several days ago to assist people with their quests for employment survival, I already have a good number as to how many people actually DO read the musings of playing for inspiration. Too harsh?

Now, I interrupt that entry idea to tell you this one.

A month’s gone by. I realized a few kinks in my game for 2011 that I’m still ironing out. Some habits? well, I think aloud some times. I was looking to stop that. Cut it off forever kinda thing. Really try to not give into it anymore. They always say that habits are hard to break, especially ones that deal with something that is done outside of the realms of the public eye. Or… probably are. I’ve tried not to think about it, or even tried to think about it. No dice waking up and saying “It ends tonight…” in the mirror.

Speaking of mirrors:

Soil And Pimp - Mirror Boy from Session 6. This track is in my brain now. It’s so good.

Digression: Don’t think Matrix Kevin can stop regular Kevin given such blant opportunities and whatnot. I’ve got several habits that I haven’t suppressed or stopped or … understood fully. Understood. It’s hard to stop a habit without comprehending why it happens or what causes one to take that to practice.

There always is an underlining thing that drives us to making something permanent. For instance, skills: if you keep doing 3-Pointers off field, and you’re good at it, chances are you’ll do more of it effectively. So much so, that doing it, in the game, wouldn’t merit much of an issue.

What’s funny is the fact that perhaps habits are the very same. Repetition can make something permanent. Understanding exactly why it’s done, could prevent it from happening and on a whole, it could pinpoint something in one’s character. Stuff like that.

There’s always that talk about how a habit can be linked in instant gratification as to cease its’ practice is more of a long term benefit we fail to see.

I believe that also. Of course when you do recognize it, you could fight it( do it your damn self first, perhaps?). But even so, to realize that it is more important to gain a permanent benefit, than a constant deficit, in a trade off. Just because sounds like a great idea, perhaps it’s better to hold off on it or

not do it. It’s better to get the full spectum of the move made, before making it, out of the fact that there could be a potential bright side to the rejection.

Or a reason to not run for the train. You run to catch that guy, and you either hurt yourself, not make it, or lose something very valuable. I already know why I’ll stop. And for what. Now to actually stop.

Hopefully, this was beneficial to you. All 2 or so readers. Holla.
