Make The Time...
Hey y’all: Another fun-filled weekend has come and gone. For myself, the last few days have been an exercise of issues. I remembered a phrase: If you don’t complete something, you’re doomed to repeat it later or … something to that effect. That’s happening a bit now with the kevster. I’m showing some commitment to the projects that I’m looking to take...

A Few Good Tweam Players - Part 1 [#jobsearching]
Sup, folks? I decided to chill in my hometown today. A Coffee Shop of all places. Yeah, just here right now. Plans for next month and all that being drawn out this and that. Onto my post! But still, I’m looking to do something about my peeps who are currently looking at their days bleed on the weekdays. Yeah, you know who you are. You wake up. It’s too cold to go out and it’s...

Have You Met @clickflickca
Sup, readers?  Yeah, had to bring that in. I penned this out during the GO Transit ride into work today. I figured that I had to take some time out to thank Jolloare Allon for one of the best years, of my life, EVER. What a guy! If you’re into Toronto’s twitter scene, you have probably seen this fellow’s timely shots to the public micro-blog. You have probably seen him at a...

Experiences
Howdy, folks! The last few days have been not too bad for Kevin kind. Moreless I had a surprising Wednesday night. Sacrifices were made(not attending FlashInTO), but some were worth it to accomodate other opportunities(Interactive Ontario’s Networking function at the Gladstone Hotel). It was a back-to-back ride of  that, a birthday party at the Grindhouse Burger joint and its’...

The Tale of the Two Flips
There’s something I forgot to tell you about the @CiscoCanada @FlipCameraCanada that I scored at #RegiftTO…  </keepGoing:more> Remember that ReGiftTO night? Great times, man. Seriously awesome! I was glad that I was able to make to this one. Awesome peeps, and some that I didn’t expect to meet. Also, a Jas was there too. I THOUGHT I SAW HER! lol For those of you who...

So... How's my posting? [ Free For All ]
I’m past one hundred on the Tumblr right now. Usually, why I do this is because I’m playing for inspiration. As in yeah, I blog about crap that inspires me. And possibly, it will inspire you, too. That being said: how’s the blog so far? I’m blank minded on a topic tonight. Also, I lost one on the train today, too. So yeah, let’s hear what you have to say about what...

So, You Can Get Disqus-ing Here!
After attempting and a bit of blah blah blah-ing. I got that Disqus working on the Tumblr blog. Disqus feels more like the comments will get feedback, between the visitors, than not. It’s not all that messy as regular commenting, if I do say so myself. Enjoy. Leave comments. Come back and do more damage. Whatever you like! I’ll attempt to respond back to yours.

Baby's First #ReGiftTO - Blog Aggregation
What a night!  Strangely, this was my first #RegiftTO tweetup.  I have to say it was a smash! Alot of the Toronto twitter folks were in attendance and Our House  was a gracious guest. Of course, I ha to snag something at the end since it was a @clickflickca tweetup. There was a gift exchange, then a giveaway, then talking, then a Montel Jordan moment with Casey(@doomzto), Reggie(@fragileheart),...

Connecting? [#postaday]
I went to a talk from Dave Howlett of RHB, or realhumanbeing.org. The seminar was a 2 hour function with Dave leading. The concept was amazing and still is. And Dave’s execution was also something to help you take it home better. Because of this, I was able to see exactly how this is applied to several situations. Thanks to the perceptions given, it’s easier to tolerate others and...

Habits [#postaday]
Hey folks:  Doing pretty good with this challenge. Sadly, I have to remember to get my things in on the day of. Then again, that’s another thing to throw up on the block. I’ll talk about last night’s debauchery tonight since it could be very helpful. There were other things that I wanted to touch on, too. I installed Disqus, too, but I’m unsure as to what’s really...

Wayback playback
Hello all:  Is it just me or is Tumblr’s Dashboard admin going through some crap right now? I’m looking at what appears to be Tumblr’s way of saying “we can do progressive enhancement”, too. Well, more power to you all. Reminds me of what older websites used to look like back in the 95-98. Classic times. I remembered my first site back then. Page, rather. It was in...

If you can't beat them, go level up and come...
Something in addition to the whole “wackiest but useful advice that you have ever received” post. In an Japanese Role Playing Game, or RPG (think Final Fantasy 7 by Squaresoft) sometimes you would get to a boss that seems unbeatable. You would try everything. All the tricks in the book, spells, weapon configurations, attacks, formations, etc etc. Then, you’d just want to throw...

describe the wackiest but most useful advice...
“Unhinge your thinking” had me puzzled for nearly two days thanks to a planning meeting with Casey yesterday. He broke it down last night. Summing it up, it was more on the lines of using logic/gutt towards situations than the usual emotions that seem to plague judgement. Doing the opposite of I usually did to achieve a more satisfying result based on experience. I tried it and...

Why Are You Learning? [ #postaday]
Hey folks: Thought I’d take a page from LaisieTu.com, my twitter-mate whose doing the #PostADay Challenge. It’s funny how the challenge puts out some of these ideas. We get to that point where we would like to enhance what we already have. Some of the times when I attempted to learn something new, I’d ask myself if I’m doing this to further myself or am I doing this...

#ultraAVX experienced out on That Tron: Legacy
So, @thepuffytaco and I went to take on Tron: Legacy with the UltraAVX. I have to say it was a cool experience. Jaemeel was one of the fellows that scored the UltraAVX tickets next to @doomzto - Casey Palmer. This was different, UltraAVX was. The leather chairs. The reserved seating. The sound and video quality. Luxurious to some effect. The reserved seating portion was the best feature of the...

The Repurposing of the PDA [#postaday]
Not sure if anybody noticed, but as the smartphones of RIM and multi-purpose entertainment devices of Apple have taken the pocket market: the PDAs have seem to disappear. I hardly hear about the Palms of 16-bit, SNES emulation color yesteryear. Or the HPs that were the envies of years before. Palm has bulked their Treo units or recycled them to create the lucious Palm Pre.  Those PDAs seemed to...

Favorite Meal of the day [ #postaday ]
I would have to go with lunch on this one. Look at how diverse it seems to be here. You can eat practically anything on the board with this meal snd still call it lunch. Anything at one’s disposal! Isn’t that something? I can have breakfast and call it brunch. I can get last night’s penne alfredo and bang - lunch. It’s too good!

One Method Per Conversation, please [#postaday]
Yeah, I wonder about that there. Why do we hold one conversation onto many different mediums? why would we Facebook someone about one thing, and then email them about that one thing, then call to talk about that thing? Funny thing, I had someone do all those things at once recently. And sadly, grammar wasn’t on their side. Disjointed sentences plagued each communication end. I sat down...

Focus [#postaday]
Sup? Lol @laisetu was supposed whip me for being late. Aw well. Took in Tron Legacy, with @thepuffytaco, yesterday. Interesting film! It was cool to see this happen now from Disney than to wait another 10 or so years to produce this! Mind you they went with sequel than the usual remake that folks are throwing around these days! That’s what stood out for me. They still retained alot from...

The Good From the Bad [#postaday] #008...
As the challenge requests, and my pen-like fingers accepts: my biggest and most memorable interview was the three hour one that I had an advertising agency 2 years ago. The thing was sheer brutality, at first. I dressed up for it, too. Nowadays, it’s pointless to suit-up for an ad agency interview because the interviewees would usually dress down themselves. I’d probably put on just a...

400+ Thank Yous For You [ #postaday ]
Hey guys: It’s been a cool night last night. Sure - Canada got whupped by the Russians this year, but we always salute our boys in the red and whites for their stellar performance in the World Junior Hockey Championship. Wasn’t this the same match-up as what has occured in the 70s and made infamous for it? a gridlock between the reds of east and far east in search of Hockey...

I really don't know how it feels to be....
Stressed out? First off: classic track. Tribe Called Quest. That’s a lie really. I’ve been there. Several times. Times when I didn’t even have to be there, I was there.  Of course, I’m not too stressed out or anything. Things are great so far. Why? well: I’m working with some cool people these days on and off the court and have so before: I’m back...

#LinkedIn #Ninja are real...IN YOUR OFFICE!
On #Linkedin, I did a search for ninjas. Hard to say something here. Have we really gone too far here? Office ninja. Drupal Consultant Ninja. Unemployed ninja. Nutrition Ninja. Recruiter Ninja. Is it just me, or have we stepped into a Naruto environment? For anyone who doesn’t know, Naruto is an anime about a ninja kid who grows up in a ninja village. Practically 80% of the characters,...

Tables for Web Design Debate: It's not over →
This one goes pretty deep into a conversation about the tables vs divs debate. Of course, the usual argument is always rooted on the effectiveness. I always figured that tables were too bloated to bother to use outside of anything website like, yet in htmls emails - these little guys hold fort well and do not break. It was also how they were used. Nested 50 tables on a site can push away the...

Year to Do-it-your-damn-self-first
Hey guys, something I wanted to say after reflecting on the last year. 2011 should be dubbed the year “to-do-it-your-damn-self-first”. DIYDSF. You want that hook up, put in work and do it your damn self first. If you want that girl that you saw at the party, and you want to holla at her, do it your damn self first. You want a project to be kick started: do it your damn self first....

2K11 - Happy Start of The Decade To You
Hey guys, Welcome to 2K11. Thanks for skimming through the mess. According to alot of folks, it’s the start of the decade. Guess I’d have to agree. I had a great year last year. Twitter does that to you. Actually, using social media effectively, moreless. Interacting, communicating, engaging - ICE. As Jo says. Thanks to that, I’ve seen my fair share of tweetups, giveways, and...

It Came From 96 →
Wayne Knight, Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny and a whole slew of Warner Bros. characters face the monsters of space … on the court in Space Jam. What’s surprising is the fact that the site is so dated. 1996 outdated. Take a look. Sites don’t look this way.
